"Libraries Plus"

Raynes Park, Colliers Wood, Pollards Hill and West Barnes Libraries have been piloting new door access technology that will enable these branches to open for longer hours.  As part of the pilot, from Monday 28 February to Friday 1 April, Merton is trialling some alternative hours.  From 9:30am--1pm Mondays to Fridays for Pollards Hill and Raynes Park and from 3pm--7pm Mondays to Fridays for Colliers Wood and West Barnes, visitors are asked to enter the building using their library card (or Merton Libraries mobile phone app) and PIN number.

No other services are affected.

Newspapers in the Library

Merton libraries are no longer getting hard copies of newspapers.   Instead each branch will have some 'tablets' (six in West Barnes) on which members can read any of a larger number of newspapers and magazines.  Details of the tablets and how they can be used are on the eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks and eNewspapers page of Merton Libraries' website; library staff can also help.  Members will need their library card number and associated PIN to use these new tablets.
