Our events run weekly or monthly throughout the year. There are clubs and meet-ups for all ages. For the most up to date information, and to register online visit https://libraries.merton.gov.uk/events

You can register for our events via the website above, call us on 020 8274 5789 or just pop in and speak to a member of staff. Most of our events are free to attend but please double check before you arrive.

Mondays

Kiddirama Storytime and Rhyme for Babies

Rendezvous Club

Weekly drop-in for over 60s, usually at West Barnes Library. Get together for tea, cake, quiz, talks, trips out and much more.

Join George from GLL for a fun and gentle exercise class for the over 60's. This includes a mixture of different exercises including mobility, flexibility, and core strength exercises

Homework club

Ages 5 - 11
Term time only

Free homework help during term-time with volunteers on hand to help your child with their homework. Children will benefit from a space to study, access to a wide selection of books and internet access.

Art and social workshop

Suitable for ages 18 - 35 but all ages welcome
Booking required

A relaxed, social art workshop set in West Barnes Library. Ideal for ages 18-35, but open to all! Each month there'll be a spotlight on a particular theme or artist, some time to work on individual projects in a collaborative space, and a chance to wind down and get to know each other at the end.

 

Event hosted by Kaitlin Zhang. Kaitlin is an artist, graphic designer and CEO of Oval Branding. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts from the University of British Columbia, Canada.

Please book 1 ticket per adult
Once a month on the 4th Saturday

Come and experience the sights, sounds and essence of our amazing sensory library! We have a variety of specially designed SEND books and toys ready for use at these sessions.

 

Numbers are limited and booking is essential. Please book a ticket just for an adult person, children don’t need to. You may bring a maximum of 3 children to the event.
