We believe that everyone should have access to knowledge and information, and that libraries play a vital role in promoting literacy and lifelong learning. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for all members of the community, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other characteristic.
From book clubs to yoga, West Barnes Library offers a variety of programs and services to help you learn and grow. We also host a range of events throughout the year including author talks, art exhibits and history lectures.
West Barnes Library urgently needs more volunteers to help at a range of levels to assist staff. Can you spare a couple of hours?
To support the Friends' efforts to keep the library open, raise usage and organise events, you can become a Lifetime Member for a one-off payment of £5.
We welcome ideas from anybody who would be interested in running clubs and events at the library.
