Talk English Conversation Cafe Practicing Spoken English

Every Monday at 1.00pm: An on-line chat to help participants practice spoken English with others.  Sessions last for at least 30 minutes.  Help is provided by a Library volunteer.  Any standard of spoken English welcome.  You must have Skype to join in.  If you're interested, please give your Skype name to the Library. You'll get a Skype call from the volunteer, and then you'll be able to join in.

Our next -- virtual -- authors' talk will be at 7.30pm on

Monday 28 September and will  feature Elly Griffiths and

Lesley Thomson.  It will be streamed live on YouTube

(we will provide details, before the talk, about how to

access this).

Elly Griffiths is perhaps best known for a series of 13

books featuring archaeologist Dr Ruth Galloway; but she

has also written several stand-alone books (the latest of

which is The Postscript Murders) and a series set in

Brighton featuring DI Edgar Stephens.  For more information, see her website,
